The project is for bridge replacement over the Chunky River, including approaches on 0.344 miles of Griffis Fountain Road. The work consists of bridge replacement with the following spans: 1 at 40 linear feet, 3 at 80 linear feet, 1 at 110 linear feet, 1 at 80 linear feet, and 2 at 40 linear feet of prestressed concrete beam span. The contractor is responsible for performing all work and providing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials as required by the specifications and drawings. Each bid must include a cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond (from a surety licensed in Mississippi) for 5% of the total bid as security. If requested, bidders must also submit a current financial statement. The successful bidder shall provide performance and payment bonds each for 100% of the contract amount. Bids must remain valid for 60 days after submission. Complete proposals and contract documents must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Chancery Clerk at 92 West Broad Street, Decatur, Mississippi before the stipulated deadline. For electronic submissions, bidders must contact the Engineer of Record for requirements. All work must comply with the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction, 2004 Edition (as amended).
