Reference Number 0000303382 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/10/02 02:00:00 PM CDT 1.5.1 Project Overview and Intent: The Services requested within this RFP consider the assessment and programming of current CPL laboratory space at 750 William Ave, and the redevelopment of the 5th floor of 710 William Ave, located on the HSC Campus, to accommodate the move of a selection of existing and currently operating laboratory space. The intent of this engagement is to secure a qualified Consultant Team to develop a comprehensive Functional Program (FP) that: 0 Identifies, in collaboration with CPL leads, existing operating laboratory space suitable for successful relocation and integration into the 5th floor of 710 William Ave. Enhances operational efficiencies, and accounts for future operational needs Optimize space utilization to support long-term priorities set out by CPL 0 Supports scientific excellence, and complies with applicable regulatory and safety standards 1.5.2 Planning Context: The functional program process will begin with a focus on preparing detailed documentation suitable for internal review and cost estimates Planning must be informed by an analysis of existing operations considering the needs for future growth, system integration and service continuity Building conditions assessments completed at 750 William Ave only (mechanical, electrical assessments) are required to further inform the functional program of the existing space, determine its suitability for laboratory operations, identify and document any required modifications, upgrades necessary to meet laboratory standards 1.5.3 Plan Objectives: CPL future operations must be individually assessed to develop a functional plan that aligns with: Cadham Provincial Laboratory's strategic objectives Any site-specific vision, mission, and value documents CPL provided growth projections A standardized methodology must be used, including: Uniform data collection methods, space planning and assessment processes Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
