Conceptual plans call for the addition of a transportation facility; for the demolition of a transportation facility; for the construction of a transportation facility; for the renovation of a 10,000-square-foot transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.

The North Carolina Global TransPark (NCGTP), a body politic of the State of North Carolina and owner/operator of the Kinston Regional Jetport (ISO), is soliciting proposals from qualified architectural and design consultants for professional services related to the adaptive reuse and redevelopment of the original terminal building. This project will convert the existing terminal into a modern General Aviation Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Terminal, integrated with a consolidated U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) station to support both domestic and international general aviation traffic. The North Carolina Global TransPark is redeveloping the original 25,000sqft Kinston Regional Jetport terminal into a modern General Aviation Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Terminal with a co-located U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) station. In addition, the design for this facility may consider uses such as corporate and government office space, meeting facilities, concession areas, and small business incubator style facilities focused on aviation clients. Services will include site assessment, space programming, design, environmental coordination, code compliance, construction documentation, and construction administration. It is the desire of the North Carolina Global TransPark for the selected firm to conceptualize and design a facility that comingles all the above activities in a manner that allows good building utilization and good flow of all services provided in the facility.
