All existing fire alarm components, devices, wiring, and panels will be removed. The new system fire alarm components shall be installed. The installation shall be carefully coordinated to ensure uninterrupted coverage, either through full activation prior to removal or staged daily zone activations. Each bid shall be accompanied, by a certified check drawn on a bank which is insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance corporation or a bidder's bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Colorado, made payable to the City of Greeley, Colorado, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal sum as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract to construct this project in accordance with the plans and specifications, and give bonds in the sum as hereafter provided. Checks accompanying bids not accepted will be returned. The successful responsive and responsible bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and payment bond in the amount of the contract sum.
