**As of December 18, 2025, the project was awarded to Powers Mechanical but the awarded amount is not available.** Establish a contract with one (1) qualified contractor to furnish and install all OEM parts needed to complete a replacement of (1) OEM EVAPCO Model AT 29-2H21 induced draft counterflow cooling tower at Riverside Regional Jail. SCOPE OF WORK: RRJA is seeking a contractor to provide turnkey replacement of (1) OEM EVAPCO Model AT 29-2H21 induced draft counterflow cooling tower at Riverside Regional Jail. A mandatory onsite pre-bid meeting will be conducted to allow vendors to witness the current installation. Successful bidder will be providing removal and disposal of old equipment as well as the turnkey installation of new equivalent equipment. A. Responsibility of the Bidder: The bidder shall make a careful examination of the project site, shall familiarize himself with the existing conditions, and shall satisfy himself as to the quantity and quality of materials and workmanship required for the Work. He shall carefully and thoroughly examine the Contract Documents before submitting a Bid. B. Service Requirements: The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, and all incidentals required and/or implied for the complete and satisfactory performance of replacing (1) OEM EVAPCO Model AT 29-2H21 induced draft counterflow cooling tower. RRJA reserves the right to employ an independent testing laboratory to conduct tests of materials, etc. as they may deem necessary to assure complete compliance with the requirements of the specifications. The Contractor shall offer full cooperation with personnel in making these tests. Specifications: Successful bidder shall provide and install one (1) OEM EVAPCO Model AT 29-2H21 induced draft counterflow cooling tower. Included accessories shall be as follows: ASHRAE 90.1-2019 Energy Compliant IBC Standard Structural Design Importance Factor Specified 304 Welded Stainless-Steel Cold-Water Basin EVAPAK Fill Vibration Switch Ladder Ladder Extension, 4 feet El. Heaters (0F / -18C ambient) (2) 7 kW; 460/3/60 Contactor w/Transformer and Disconnect for Heater Package Fan Motor: Inverter Capable, Premium Efficient Fan Motor: Space Heaters Included installation details are as follows: 1. New cooling tower. Contractor shall be responsible for accepting, transporting, rigging, installation of new cooling tower. 2. Piping, insulation, metal jacketing. Remove insulation, metal jacketing and piping back to the closet point for the removal and installation of the new cooling tower. Furnish and install new piping, isolation valves (if necessary), insulation and metal jacketing. Shall include CWS, CWR, make-up water, drain, overflow piping. 3. New starter/control panel. Remove all existing incoming electrical and control wiring serving the existing starter/control panel. Furnish necessary supports and mounting hardware for the installation of the new starter/control panel. Furnish and install new conduit and wiring for the electrical and control requirements serving the starter/control panel, Contract shall provide and install two (2) VFD's for the fan motors 4. Electrical/Controls. Remove and provide new electrical / control conduit, wiring back to the new starter/control panel for the equipment accessories (fan motors, fan motor space heaters, vibration switches, heaters, thermostat, low water cut-off switch, etc.) Electrician usually provides conduit, wiring for high voltage items (208/230/460v). Control contractor usually provides conduit, wiring for low voltage items (120, 24v). 5. Controls / BAS Requirements. Customer's control / BAS contractor involvement. Start-up, commissioning, owner training. 6. Passivation and water treatment requirement. Customer's current water treatment provider shall be responsible for initial passivation and future water treatment program. 7. Start-up, commissioning, owner training. Shall be provide by authorized factory trained personnel. 8. Existing structural supports. Existing structural supports to remain. Contractor to perform visual inspection and note any areas of concern. I. Removal and disposal of existing cooling tower. Contractor shall be responsible for the removal and disposal of existing cooling tower
