The City of Kelowna invites Proposals from qualified contractors for the development of Aurora Park located at 245 Aurora Crescent in Rutland. The project will transform the currently undeveloped site into a new neighbourhood park and generally includes construction of a children's playground, dog run, lawn and open play areas, planting beds, paved walkways, site lighting, park furnishings, improvements along the Froelich Road frontage, and associated civil, irrigation, and landscaping works. The Work can be briefly summarized as follows: A children's playground of approximately 340 sq.m., including poured-in-place rubberized safety surfacing, manufactured playground equipment, and constructed play equipment. A fenced off-leash dog run, including small dog area, large dog area, and engineered wood fibre surfacing. A central lawn area for informal recreation. All soft landscaping, including trees, shrubs, perennials, and sod. All park pathways and seating areas. Park infrastructure including pedestrian lighting, drinking fountain, misting station, furniture, stormwater infrastructure, and irrigation of lawn and landscape areas. Improvements to Froelich Rd. frontage, including curb and gutter, asphalt repairs, and pedestrian crossing.
