Renovation of a swimming pool in High Level, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
The R.E. Walter Aquatic Centre in High Level requires upgrades to its mechanical and HVAC systems. Most of the equipment is over 30 years old and is operating below modern efficiency and safety standards. This project focuses on replacing or repairing boilers, improving air handling systems, addressing envelope leaks, and upgrading ventilation for the pool and hot tub areas. Key priorities include: - Replacement or repair of the preheat boiler - Modernization of air handling units with variable frequency drives (VFDs) - Improved ventilation and air quality in the pool and hot tub spaces - Repairs to building envelope and windows to prevent moisture infiltration - Energy efficiency upgrades through better controls and demand-based ventilation These improvements will reduce energy costs, extend the life of the facility, and ensure a safe, healthy environment for staff and visitors.
