Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Verona, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work to be performed under this contract includes the following: Base Bid - The milling and resurfacing of Linden Avenue from Fairview Avenue to Wildwood Terrace and Ostego Road to Pompton Avenue, including the reconstruction of all non-compliant ADA curb ramps, spot curb, driveway and sidewalk replacement, tree removal, pruning and replanting and minor drainage improvements. Alternate Bid A - The milling and resurfacing of Linden Avenue from Wildwood Terrace to Ostego Road, including spot curb, driveway and sidewalk replacement, tree removal, pruning and replanting and minor drainage improvements. Alternate Bid B - The investigation and replacement of water services from the main to the curb box for various properties on Linden Avenue. Principal items of work in the project include: Base Bid - 17,560 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less 2,590 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course 815 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick Alternate Bid A - 3,190 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less 470 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course 105 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick Alternate Bid B - 50 UNIT Installation of Wet Tap and Corporation Valve, 1" 50 UNIT Installation of Curb Stop and Curb Box 755 L.F. Installation of New Service Lines, 1" (Main to Curb) The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 120 calendar days of notice to proceed. Question Acceptance Deadline 10/07/2025 12:00 PM EDT The deadline for submitting inquiries is 12:00 p.m., 7 days before the opening of bids. Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. All corporations and partnerships and limited liability companies must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the LINDEN AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, bearing the name and address of the bidder and shall be addressed to, and delivered at the place and hour mentioned above. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. Unless otherwise permitted by N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3, all bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 24. The Owner and Bidder may agree to hold bids for consideration for a longer period of time, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-24. The Owner reserves the right to reject bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.10, or other applicable law; to waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder, as per N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-1, et seq.
