Reference Number 0000399628 Bid Intent Not Available The awarded contractor will provide all necessary tools, labor, and equipment to renovate the single-family home located at 6937 Elm Avenue in Twentynine Palms. The scope includes demolition, electrical and plumbing upgrades, installation of new cabinetry, flooring, drywall repair, painting, and finish carpentry. Additonal information is included in the Notice Inviting Bids. Question Deadline 10/14/2025 at 1:00 PM PT Questions are submitted online No, All requests for information (RFI) must be submitted in writing and received no later than time Questions can be sent by email to richardberger@caa.inc. Questions received after the December 10th deadline may not be reviewed or responded to. The tentative award date is October 28, 2025. A pre-construction meeting will be held on October 30, 2025, and work shall commence no later than November 10, 2025. All work shall be completed within 45 working days following written notice to proceed from the City. Please note that November 28, 2025 will be considered a non-working day. At the preconstruction meeting, or sooner, the contractor must advise the City of any long-lead items that could impact the project schedule. Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond in favor of the City in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. Any bid not accompanied by such guarantee will not be considered. PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BONDS: The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the City with Payment and Performance Bonds equal to 100% of the Contract Price, prior to execution of the Contract. All bonds are to be secured from a surety that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, and is admitted by the State of California. The successful Bidder shall also be required to meet the insurance requirements of the City, as set forth in the General Conditions. All of said bond and insurance requirements shall be completed and submitted to the City within ten (10) consecutive Working Days from the date the City gives written intentions to award the Contract. Failure to meet these requirements within the allotted time shall be sufficient cause for rejection of Bid. The awarded contractor will provide all necessary tools, labor, and equipment to renovate the single-family home located at 6937 Elm Avenue in Twentynine Palms. The scope includes demolition, electrical and plumbing upgrades, installation of new cabinetry, flooring, drywall repair, painting, and finish carpentry. General Requirements o Contractors must hold a valid Class A or B license and meet prevailing wage requirements. o All work shall comply with the 2022 California Building Standards Code, including: o California Residential Code (CRC) o California Electrical Code (CEC) o California Plumbing Code (CPC) o California Mechanical Code (CMC) o California Energy Code o California Green Building Standards Code (CALGreen) o Project must be completed within 45 working days from the Notice to Proceed. o All labor must be paid at prevailing wage rates per California Labor Code 1720-1861.
