White Pigeon Township Library seeks contractor for the renovation of property for library use. The project includes but is not limited to: asbestos removal, demolition, concrete and pavilion construction. It also entails electrical service and irrigationwork, along with all permits needed for the project. Only licensed, insured, and qualified vendors should apply. 1. Perform building demolition of all structures on 104 N. Kalamazoo property and all concrete pads and sidewalks. This includes safe and effective removal of all materials containing lead and/or asbestos prior to demolition. See attachment A. The lot will be fine graded, level, and ready for further improvements. 2.Pour a concrete pad approximately 20' x 28' that will support a 16' x 20' pavilion. Construct a 16' x 20' pavilion according to library plans. See attachment B. Pavilion legs will be embedded in the concrete pad. Install library approved fencing around the perimeter of three sides of the lot (West, North, and East). See attachment C. Replace existing sidewalk on West side of the property, following guidelines set by White Pigeon Village. Install a 5' wide sidewalk from the West sidewalk to the South side of the pavilion concrete. Install concrete curbing at South side of property at the edge of existing asphalt parking lot. *(Please itemize the cost of the concrete curbing.) 3.Pour a 7' x 7' concrete pad for future raised-bed garden area. Install a 5' wide sidewalk from the South side of property to the 7' x 7' pad. *(Please itemize the cost of this pad and sidewalk.) 4.Install underground sprinkler sufficient for long-term maintenance of grass on entire lot. Final rake lot to prepare for planting, and plant a hardy, appropriate grass to cover entire lot. Maintain grass for a minimum of 3 weeks to ensure full coverage and growth.
