The two existing hydraulic elevators in the building are original and have reached their useful life. Consultant is to: -Investigate the elevator systems and associated equipment and provide recommendations for replacement with new, modern elevators that adhere to the latest Elevator Codes and Standards ensuring improved functionality, accessibility, reliability, energy efficiency, enhanced safety, positioning systems, and noise/vibration control measures. -The consultant is responsible for documenting the existing system and defining performance requirements including ensuring full compatibility with architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems. -The recommendations will consider updating electrical and mechanical components (as applicable), including but not limited to: controllers, machines, hoist ropes, roller guides, LED lighting, brakes, safety mechanisms, the cab and its interior, hall fixtures, ventilation systems, power supply, emergency backup power, door operators, communication systems, and control panels. -Provide a partial SLD and Arc Flash Study update representing the changes related to this scope after construction. -The new elevator system must maintain connection with the existing (Troy) fire alarm system. -It is preferred to maintain consistent operation of one elevator during construction, or shut downs to be scheduled after hours. If the recommended option(s) does not allow for this, the option recommendation(s) must include consideration of location and design of temporary office spaces on the main floor. -Review and consider the recommendations noted in the BGIS Integrated Systems Testing Plan dated September 2024. -The new elevator system must comply with CSA B44 and all other applicable codes.
