The bid is for approximately 1.5 miles of snow plowing, treatment of streets for ice, and removal of snow in the event of a major snow storm. Hand shoveling and/or snow blowing is also required for Town Buildings. The bidder must state the charge for snow plowing of city maintained streets at 3 inches of snow, as well as the charge for each additional plowing in case of continued snowfall or snow drifts. Charges for the ice melt product and for spreading the product during an ice storm and/or freezing rain must also be included. The bid should state the charge for hauling snow from the town during a major snow storm, including charges for backhoe and/or dump truck. Additionally, the bid should include the price for cleanup of leaves and debris and the cost to clean out stormwater management drains. Bids must include a copy of the company's state business license, current liability insurance, proof of workers compensation, and contractor's license. A Town of Hedgesville business license must be obtained prior to any work being started. Incomplete bids will be discarded. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any bid. Invoices must be submitted by a single monthly invoice on the 15th of the month to be paid within thirty days upon receipt of the invoice.
