The Monroe County School District is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for the removal of the existing playground and the installation of a new playground structure at Stanley Switlik Elementary School. The project aims to create a safe, engaging, and accessible play environment for students aged 5 to 12 years old. The new playground will be designed to accommodate up to 25 students and must be constructed of materials suitable for a seacoast environment. The project will also require patching the play area after installation is complete. Compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations is a critical requirement for this project. Any such addendum will be posted on Monroe County School District e-Procurement Portal. All proposals must be entered in OpenGov by the date/time listed in the bid timeline within. No waivers shall be allowed for proposals which have not been submitted by the deadline date. All proposals must remain valid for a period of ninety (90) days or until the School Board approves the contract. All timely submitted proposals will be reviewed for responsiveness and suitability for the District's needs, and a recommendation will be made for the School Board to award this solicitation to the vendor whose proposal/bid represents the best interests of the Monroe County School District. The Monroe County School District reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to accept or reject any and all proposals or to waive formalities when it is in the best interest of the Board to do so. The School Board will automatically reject the response of any person or affiliate who appears on the convicted vendor list prepared by the Department of General Services, State of Florida, under Section 287.133(3) (d), F.S. (2024).
