Site work for a water / sewer project in Rush Center, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of replacing 2,507 feet of 4" water line, 1,046 feet of 2" water line, 7 gate valves, 5 fire hydrants, 14 water service connections, and various ancillary fittings. The project location is Timken, KS in Rush County. Timken is 7 miles east and 0.25 miles north of the intersection of K-96 HWY and US-183 HWY. Kansas Water Office funds will be utilized to fund this project. All Federal, State, and County regulations must be complied with. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Certified or Cashiers check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Checks or bonds are to be made payable to City of Timken and serve as a guarantee of the sincerity and integrity of the bidder, and shall be forfeited to the City if said proposal or bid is accepted and the bidder fails to execute the contract and file the required statutory and performance bonds as required in the contract documents. Work will commence no sooner than the date of the signed contract (earliest start date) and no later than April 1, 2026 (late start date). All work shall be completed within 80 working days after the Notice to Proceed. City of Timken reserves the right to waive any and all technicalities and to reject any and all bids.
