Site work and paving for a road / highway in Heyworth, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade road / highway.
The project is known as the Prairie Street Improvement Project and involves the construction of approximately 250 feet of 24-foot wide HMA pavement with aggregate base and concrete 'V' gutter along with various other improvements. The construction is to be completed under the provisions of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction in Illinois, adopted January 1, 2022, and the Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions, adopted January 1, 2025. The work must be completed within 60 calendar days after the commencement and by July 15, 2026. Progress payments will be made based on work completed, following Village board meetings on the first and third Thursdays each month. Bidders must submit all bids accompanied by a bid bond, bank cashier’s check, bank draft, or certified check for not less than ten percent of the bid amount payable to The Village of Heyworth. The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements for all employees. The owner reserves the right to waive technicalities or reject any or all proposals. Electronic bid documents may be obtained by contacting the Director of Public Works, and examination of documents is available at Village Hall during business hours at no charge.
