This Contract is for rapid infiltration basin (RIB) sand replacement at the City of Orlando's Water Conserv I Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials required to remove the existing sand at the bottom of the RIBs and replace with clean sand. Specifically, the work consists of preconstruction video, stormwater pollution prevention, locating existing utilities at the site, stabilizing access to the RIBs and the RIB berms to the bottom of the RIBs as needed for the work, excavation and stockpile of sand and aggregate from the basin bottoms, placement of new sand in bottom of basins, restoration of access roads, berms and surface features impacted by the work, final grading and site restoration, including replacement of gravel on interior of berms. Instruction on electronic submittal is in the bid package. It will be the responsibility of the Bidder to ascertain if any addenda have been issued, to obtain all such addenda, and acknowledge executed addenda in OpenGov. Bidders must be appropriately licensed Florida Contractors pursuant to Chapter 489 Florida Statutes to be considered responsible bidders and eligible to be awarded a contract. The CITY reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all Bids, or to re-advertise for Bids. Awards, if made, will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder whose bid is most advantageous to the CITY, price and other factors considered.
