This is the first phase (Phase 1) of a two-phase process. The first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all bidders. The second phase, (Phase 2), will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Upon award of a contract in Phase 2, the pre-qualification list resulting from the first phase will expire and will not be used in any other solicitation. Following Phase 2 solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to Tender. Work under this Contract covers the supply and installation of new aluminum catwalks, stairs and a ladder including guardrails, bar grating, ladder cage, connecting elements and hardware required to provide access to inaccessible areas within the basement of the pumphouse at the Esquimalt Graving Dock, 825 Admirals Road, Esquimalt, B.C Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following items: Removal of existing guardrails as required. Supply and installation of steel connection elements to existing steel structural elements by field welding and/or bolting. Supply and installation of steel connection elements to existing concrete walls with adhesive anchors. Supply and installation of fabricated aluminum catwalk framing. Supply and installation of fabricated aluminum bar grating and stair treads. Supply and fabrication of aluminum guardrails. Supply and install of an aluminum caged ladder. Supply and installation of galvanized steel fall arrest anchors, wire rope tethers and connecting shackles. Complete electrical modifications and relocations required to facilitate new work. Complete modifications to existing railings and catwalks to facilitate new work.
