Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sterling, Virginia. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This project provides for the design, right-of-way acquisition, and construction of 0.54 miles of shared-use path and sidewalk segments along Route 7 from City Center Boulevard to Loudoun Tech Drive and along Loudoun Tech Drive between Route 7 and Ridgetop Circle. This project includes elements or improvements from the 2023 Revised Sidewalk and Shared Use Path Countywide Prioritized list, which was endorsed by the Board at the July 18, 2023, Board Business Meeting. The project is ranked as priority #14 in the Sidewalks and Trails Program. The project is included in the County's 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of October 1, 2025, the development of preliminary design plans was initiated. The preliminary design plans will be used to procure a design-builder who will design and construct the project. This project is one of several sidewalk and trail projects that will be included in a combined sidewalk and trail design-build procurement package. In the next quarter, development of the preliminary design plans will continue and DTCI will work with DFP to issue a Request for Qualifications package to begin the design-build procurement process. Design FY2025-2026. Construction 3rd quarter 2028. Completion 2nd quarter 2030. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
