The work consists of the SR-14 Sanitary Sewer Force Main Relocation, Project No. 23C3601, which includes principal items such as 5,886 linear feet of 6-inch PVC Force Main, 342 linear feet of 12-inch Steel Casing (Jack & Bore), and related appurtenances. Bid documents (including plans and proposals) are available through the Civil Southeast digital plan room. Purchase of bid documents is required to be added to the official plan holders list. No bid documents will be distributed later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. A guarantee will be required with each bid for at least 5% of the amount of the bid (maximum of $10,000) filed in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond payable to The Town of Coosada. Bid Bonds must include certification that the bonding company is listed in Circular 570 of the U.S. Treasury Department. Each bidder must submit security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder must submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1985, and must submit satisfactory evidence of such license with the bid. All bids must be submitted in the Contract Specifications Book as issued by the Engineer, in a sealed envelope clearly labeled with the bidder's name, license information, address, and the name of the project.
