The work consists of the restoration and enhancement of approximately 1.1 miles of a degraded stream channel, including the regrading and redistribution of an estimated 80,000 cubic yards of construction material and fill to improve stream function, stabilize banks, and support habitat restoration efforts for the Little Sugar Creek Streambank Repair Project. The project involves a stream restoration on about 6,000 linear feet of Little Sugar Creek and McKisic Creek within Bella Vista Lake Park, with the aim to restore the fluvial landscape in the former back-water area of Lake Bella Vista, address ongoing severe streambank erosion, and establish a resilient, self-maintaining channel based on natural channel design. Tasks encompass all work necessary to complete each phase of the restorative improvements, as well as any additional work specified in the related project documents. Bidders must submit formal, sealed bids and include a bid guarantee in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid Price. Performance and payment bonds equal to the total bid price will be required at contract signing. Only qualified, experienced, and licensed contractors may bid. Bids not accompanied by the required guarantee will be rejected. The city reserves the right to cancel or reject any bid and waive irregularities as deemed in its best interest.
