DISCLAIMER: If you plan on bidding on this project, you MUST contact Van Cleef Engineering at (908) 359-8291 The major construction items include approximately: 2,030 SY regrading existing walking path (6' wide); 1,600 LF excavate & grade interceptor swales; 370 tons hot mix asphalt 9.5M-64 surface course, 3" thick; 200 LF 12" HDPE pipe; and other incidental work appurtenant thereto. Bids must be made on standard proposal forms provided in the bid package in the manner designated therein, and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside. Bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit with either a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, provided said check or bid bond need not be more than $20,000.00 nor shall not be less than $500.00, and such other documents and certifications as required in the bid package. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A.10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C.17:27 et seq. Bidders are also required to conform to all provisions of the Local Public Contracts Law and the Prevailing Wage Act. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bid. No oral interpretation will be given to any bidder as to the meaning of the plans, specifications, or other contract documents. Any request for such interpretation shall be made in writing, addressed to the Engineer, and to be given consideration, must be received at least ten (10) business days prior to the day fixed for the opening of bids.
