A. The project includes construction of the United City of Yorkville Lake Michigan South Receiving Station, where water supplied from DuPage Water Commission (DWC) will be properly adjusted for pressure and chemical dosage, as applicable, to then enter the Cityís water distribution system to meet water pressure and quality requirements. B. Construction is expected to be occurring on the Cityís South Standpipe, Route 126 Water Main Improvements, and DWC Transmission Main and Metering Station, all of which are interconnected with the South Receiving Station, intermittently in concurrence with the South Receiving Station. The Contractor shall be required to coordinate with the other contractors as necessary for phasing of the work, particularly with the South Standpipe contractor, as shown in the Special Provisions, Plans, and other Contract Documents. The WORK consists of the construction of the South Receiving Station, which consists of a pressure adjusting station including associated pressure reducing and pressure boosting components, chemical feed equipment, associated piping, electrical, and controls, and all other associated appurtenances, materials, and site work necessary to complete the project. The scope of work consists of constructing the South Receiving Station for the City to accept Lake Michigan supply from the DuPage Water Commission, and all associated appurtenances and site work necessary to complete the project as set forth in the Bid Documents.
