Renovation of an educational facility in Hopatcong, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 101,504-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the partial replacement and restoration of the roof at Hopatcong High School. Approximately 75,000 square feet of the existing roof membrane and insulation system will be removed down to the existing decking and replaced with a new multi-ply builtup roof membrane and insulation. Approximately 24,500 square feet of the existing roof system will be properly prepared and primed to receive a new fluid-applied roofing system. The project also includes the replacement and installation of new metal edging, skylights, roof drains, and flashing, as indicated. Select rooftop units will be relocated and provided with new curbs and additional structural reinforcement. The Contract Documents define the complete scope of work. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of (1) a bid bond or certified or cashier's check. payable to the Hopatcong Borough Board of Education equal to 10% of the amount of the bid, but in no case to exceed $20,000.00 per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24, and (2) Certificate of Consent of Surety per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25. Written Inquiries were due on September 19, 2025. The Scope of Work includes the following: 1. The Contract Documents define the complete Bidders shall direct questions in writing to Alaine Fairweather at the office of Parette Somjen Architects L.L.C. by mail, by facsimile at 973.586.2401, or by email at afairweather@planetpsa.com Questions must be received by the Architect by September 19, 2025, no later than three (3) business days prior to the deadline for last issuance of addenda. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-21c(2), any replies or other revisions will be made only by written Addendum, and will be issued no later than seven (7) days (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted) before date set for receipt of Bids
