“The owner has determined a prequalified list of design build companies. A timeline for construction has not yet been established.” The City of Selah is inviting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms interested in providing professional engineering services for a Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) funded project: First Street Resurfacing (Yakima Ave to Fremont Ave). The selected firm will provide design engineering, construction engineering, preparation of environmental documents, and preparation of permit applications. The project includes milling and HMA overlay of the section of First Street between Yakima Avenue and Fremont Avenue (0.25 miles), and adjusting manhole lids and valves to match the final roadway grade. The estimated total project cost for professional services and construction is approximately $714,012. Selection criteria include key personnel, firm experience, ability to meet schedule, familiarity with WSDOT/FHWA standards, LAG Manual and NEPA processes, in-house expertise, and past performance/references. Statements of Qualifications shall be limited to thirty (30) pages, excluding a one-page cover letter and front and back covers. Statement of Qualifications will be evaluated competitively based on the criteria listed, and interviews may be conducted. Selection is open to qualified disadvantaged, minority-, and women-owned firms, and the City of Selah is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
