A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The City of Grand Island is soliciting proposals for Grand Island Law Enforcement Center Vehicle Gate Replacement. The Grand Island Police Department (GIPD) has had multiple issues with the vehicle security gates at the law enforcement center for the past seven or more years causing the system administrators to lock the gates open in an unsecure manner. This has allowed members of the public to walk and drive to the rear of the building, inside the security fenced area. This RFP will outline the project requirements necessary to remove the current gates and replace them with a security gate system that is dependable and able to withstand the weather issues along with routine entry and exit of vehicles through the gates Remove existing gates and gate operators at the North & South Entry/Exit drives. Includes disposal Owner to have electrical disconnected Install new slide gates and operators at the North & South Entry/Exit drives. Includes above ground key fob and keypad passcode access control for entrance at vehicle driver level.
