GOALS: Improve wireless and broadband coverage across the Town of Sunnyvale. The primary goal is to improve mobile/cellular coverage in the Town; the secondary goal is to improve licensed fixed wireless access and broadband connectivity across the Town. The Town is seeking cost proposals for full-service capabilities that can provide both mobile carrier and wireless broadband services to achieve the stated goal. This may be accomplished through deploying multi-tenant communications towers, installing and/or upgrading equipment for advanced mobile/cellular coverage, and installing and/or upgrading licensed fixed wireless equipment. The selected Respondent must be capable of managing the construction of one or more wireless communication towers, ensuring telecommunication backhaul connects the cell tower (or base station) to the core network, and providing telecommunications services. PROJECT SCOPE: - Production of network design and plan to improve wireless coverage and related engineering site plans/specifications. - Coordinate with the Town and applicable regulatory entities to secure plan approvals, record plans, and obtain permits. - Oversee the effort to erect a communication tower with multi-tenant capacity. - Establish a sublease model for ongoing maintenance with other providers. - Own, operate, and maintain cellular/wireless towers based on contract terms with the Town. - Own, operate, and maintain cellular/wireless equipment based on contract terms with the Town.
