The City of Pearland is accepting competitively sealed bids from qualified bidders for Baseball and Softball Field Lighting System Upgrade in accordance with the specifications provided herein in full accordance with the scope of work, terms and conditions contained in this solicitation and Local Government Code 252. This is an acknowledgement that FEMA financial assistance will be used to fund the contract only. The contractor will comply will all applicable federal law, regulations, executive orders, FEMA policies, procedures, and directives. Removal of Existing Fixtures: Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of or recycle all existing lighting fixtures. 2.2. Installation of LED Fixtures: 2.2.1. Provide and install LED sports lighting fixtures suitable for High School level play baseball and softball fields. 2.2.2. Fixtures shall be designed to meet or exceed illumination levels per Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) RP-6-15 standards. 2.2.3. Ensure proper beam control to minimize glare and light spill and ball tracking ability. 2.3. Electrical System Upgrades: 2.3.1. Assess and upgrade wiring, conduit, and connections as necessary. 2.3.2. Verify that existing electrical infrastructure can support new LED fixtures. 2.4. Control System: 2.4.1. Install a remote or automated lighting control system for scheduling and dimming. 2.5. Structural Integrity: 2.5.1. Assess and confirm the structural integrity of existing poles and mounting brackets. 2.5.2. Replace or reinforce any components as needed to meet wind load and safety requirements. 2.5.3. Provide a cost under an Add Alternate for replacement of any poles found to be structurally inadequate or if full pole replacement enhances system warranty coverage. 2.6. Testing and Commissioning: 2.6.1. Perform photometric testing to ensure compliance with specifications. 2.6.2. Provide training on system operation and maintenance.
