Sealed proposals will be received for the collection, removal, and disposal of acceptable waste and recyclables within the Great Neck Garbage District. Bidders are directed to include the University Gardens section, specifically TERRACE CIRCLE, in the Great Neck Garbage Collection area. Only bids that comply with this requirement will be considered. Bidders should review the Instructions to Bidders section under Bidder's Responsibility, the Map of District (Schedule VI), and the Legal Description of District (Schedule VII). Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check in an amount equal to not less than ten percent of the total amount bid, payable to the Town of North Hempstead, or a bid bond in the same amount and in such form as is acceptable to the Town Attorney. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid and to reject any or all bids, and also reserves the right not to enter into any contract as a result of this bid invitation.
