Separate sealed bids are requested for the Aliceville Arpa Storm Water Improvements. Bidders must submit bids to the City of Aliceville at City Hall. Documents related to the bid, including plans, specifications, and forms, are available at Porter-Higginbotham Engineering for purchase or electronically at no cost. Bidders do not need to prequalify but must meet minimum requirements in the contract documents and comply with applicable state laws related to general contractors. The City will not contract with non-resident entities not qualified to do business in Alabama. All required licenses and permits must be held by the bidder, who must provide their contractor's license number and a copy of the license with the bid. Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check from an Alabama bank or a properly executed bid bond, made payable to the City of Aliceville, in an amount of at least 5 percent of the engineer's estimated project cost or total bid, not exceeding $10,000.
