Renovation of a medical facility in Port Alberni, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The primary objective of this initiative is to reduce natural gas consumption and associated greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, while also improving system performance and operational efficiency within the facility. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals from consultant firms to undertake design services, has been issued by the owner. Island Health has engaged Tiderra Consulting Ltd. to complete a detailed engineering study to identify energy conservation measures (ECMs) for West Coast General Hospital (WCGH). Further update in early 2026, upon award.
