The City of Humble is requesting bids for the McDugald Road, Sharon Drive, and Carolyn Court Reconstruction Project. The work generally involves the removal of existing asphalt pavement and replacement with approximately 12,800 SY of 6-inch thick reinforced concrete pavement with 6-inch curbs and gutters. The project also includes the installation of approximately 540 LF of 18-inch through 24-inch RCP storm sewers, 2,500 LF of 6-inch through 8-inch PVC waterlines and all associated appurtenances. The bid must include all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals required for the completion of the project. Sealed bids must be submitted in duplicate and labeled appropriately. Bid security in the amount of five percent of the greatest amount bid must accompany each bid. Bids are to be irrevocable for ninety days after the opening. Bidders are responsible for inspecting the site and familiarizing themselves with all local conditions. All contractors and subcontractors must pay at least the prevailing wage rates for the project area as specified in the project manual. The successful bidder will be required to furnish both a performance bond and a payment bond, each amounting to 100% of the total contract price. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and accept the bid most advantageous to the City.
