The University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) seeks to procure bids for Snow Removal Services at KUMC to fulfill the requirements as outlined in the included specifications. KUMC reserves the right to negotiate with selected finalists should it be deemed necessary. The University of Kansas Medical Center is requesting a three (3)-year contract with the option to renew for two (2) more one (1)-year periods, for a maximum term of five (5) years. Anticipated Contract start date: November 1, 2025 The University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) seeks contract labor services to support snow and ice removal efforts across its 70-plus-acre Kansas City, Kansas, campus and remote satellite facilities. The selected contractor will provide reliable, properly equipped labor to assist with clearing and treating sidewalks, pathways, entrances, and other pedestrian routes. Labor teams must be prepared to respond to winter weather events at any time, ensuring continuous accessibility to critical facilities. Contractors are expected to take part in pre-storm planning meetings with KUMC Facilities Management, maintain proper staffing levels and rotations throughout storm durations, and adhere to all safety and equipment requirements established by KUMC. Please note, there is a fully operational hospital and critical clinics on the KUMC campus. Cleared walkways, sidewalks, and entrances are expected in these areas throughout all winter storms.
