The City of Ocoee, Florida, is soliciting sealed bids for the Flewelling 2-Inch Water Main Replacement Project. Bids will only be accepted electronically through Euna Procurement, a free e-Procurement platform. Bids received after the specified time or through any other method will not be accepted. Bids that are received on time will be publicly opened online and the name of each bidder and price will be read aloud. Instructions for attending the bid opening will be provided. Prospective bidders may secure a copy of the required documents for submitting a bid at no charge through Euna Procurement by visiting the City's published solicitation page. All information regarding this project, including addenda and changes to project requirements, will be provided through the Euna e-Procurement Platform. All Work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the drawings and specifications and the Contact Documents prepared by Hazen and the City of Ocoee Utilities Department. The proposed project will be awarded and constructed, in conformance with the plans, specifications, and City of Ocoee Engineering Standards Manual. Bids shall be deemed to include all items necessary for the furnishing, delivering, and installing of all materials, equipment, incidentals, and services, including all labor for the work which is generally described as the following: A. The Project consists of the installation of approximately 3,050 LF of 6" ductile iron water main and all associated valves, fittings, water services, stub-outs, fire hydrants, blow-offs, and connections to existing water mains. Additionally, the work includes the cutting, capping and abandoning in place of 2" galvanized steel water main. Surface restoration of all impacted facilities, including asphalt roadway trench repair, milling, resurfacing, and replacing asphalt, concrete sidewalk and curbing, driveways (concrete, stone, asphalt, pavers), striping, ADA ramps, sodding, landscaping, etc. Demolition, removal and reconnection of water services and meters. Deflection of existing or proposed utilities, testing, disinfection of new pipelines and dewatering as necessary for installation of new pipe and structures and all other work as shown in the Contract Drawings. B. All work must be in compliance with the City of Ocoee Engineering Standards Manual. See Section 02100. All work activities shall be required to be in accordance with the permits issued by the respective agencies. All work performed will be required to be done while maintaining the functional operation of the existing reclaim mains. All labor and material for work is more generally described as the following: o Installation and furnishing of approximately 850 LF of 6" DI water main and appurtenances required for an active water main in the east right-of-way of Orange Avenue between Flewelling Avenue and Center Street. o Installation and furnishing of approximately 1,000 LF of 6" DI water main and appurtenances required for an active water main in the east right-of-way of Cardinal Street between Flewelling Avenue and Center Street. o Installation and furnishing of approximately 1,200 LF of 6" DI water main and appurtenances required for an active water main in the east right-of-way of Jay Street between Flewelling Avenue and Center Street. o Cutting, capping and abandonment in place of the existing 2" galvanized steel water main. o Connections to existing water mains. o Repair/restoration/finishing of all facilities affected by the work. o Sequencing of the work to keep all utilities in service. o Obtaining necessary permits required to perform the work and notifying authorities having jurisdiction prior to any inspection activities of the upgraded system. o Coordination with all utility providers. o Maintaining the work area and site in a clean and acceptable manner. o Protection of finished work and unfinished work. o Repair surfaces that are damaged by new construction activities. o Flush, clean, test and disinfect pipelines. o Prepare and submit as-built record drawings to the Owner. o Restore the site to the original condition or better. o All valves, fittings, hydrants and appurtenances needed to support the water mains installation. o Water meter service connections.
