PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND The purpose of this solicitation is to establish an agency specific term contract to furnish and deliver Aggregate ABC Material to the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), Alexander County Maintenance location on an as needed basis NCDOT uses approved aggregate materials throughout the state to complete the construction of roads, bridges, roads and other surfaces as well as weather-related projects. CONTRACT TERM The Contract shall have an initial term of one (1) year, beginning on the date of final Contract execution (the "Effective Date"). In addition, and with the Vendor's concurrence, the State reserves the right to extend a contract term after the last active term.
