The purpose of this project is to clean the two segment raw waterline that runs from the Lake Alan Henry pump station to the Post booster pump station with a 42 inch diameter and 22 miles of pipe, then from the Post booster pump station to the South Water Treatment Plant with a 48 inch diameter and 29 miles of pipe. The water lines will be cleaned using a pigging procedure. Majority of the labor will be performed by the City under direction and guidance from The Contractor. B. Major work items are: 1) Clean 22 miles of a 42 inch diameter raw water line by pigging as many times as needed to achieve the specified C value. 2) Clean 29 miles of a 48 inch diameter raw water line by pigging as many times as needed to achieve the specified C value. 3) Test the cleaned raw waterlines until the specified C value is achieved. C. The Contractor shall provide a comprehensive pigging guide detailing the entire pigging process, testing, and material selection such as pig type/size and other appurtenances. D. The Contractor shall provide a small crew to perform testing, provide direction, equipment, and all materials and appurtenances required to complete the work as contracted and specified herein. E. The City of Lubbock will provide a crew to perform the labor. The crew provided by The Contractor shall give direction and guidance to the City crew throughout the work specified herein. F. The work shall be performed sometime between November 2025 and February 2026 coinciding with the City of Lubbock low flow seasons. G. All work shall be performed in accordance with the most recent City of Lubbock Design Standards for Water and Sanitary Sewer construction. H. The City shall hold a pre-construction meeting at Citizens Tower with The Contractor prior to the start of the work. The estimated budget for the construction phase of this project is $150,000.00
