This project involves the API 653-compliant repairs and maintenance of three vertical aboveground storage tanks--Facilities 7065, 7066, and 7068. The scope includes internal and external piping modifications, replacement of tank level alarms, repair of tank stairs, replacement of water draw-off systems, repair of stilling wells and floating pans, installation of insect screens, demolition of the AFFF system, replacement of roof manhole and inspection hatches, roof vent replacement, sealant replacement at the tank chime, containment area repairs, grounding enhancements, scaffold supports, removal of abandoned appurtenances, anchor chair notching, weld spacing corrections, installation of dike access stairs, junction box repair, internal ladder replacement, containment liner installation, tank data plate installation, tank coatings restoration, tank strapping chart creation, and final API 653 inspection reporting. Optional work includes upgrading PC, laptop, and PLC hardware and software to support new level alarms. The contractor must comply with extensive environmental health and safety requirements, including preparation of an Environmental Protection Plan, adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, and implementation of sustainability measures. Design and construction must follow applicable standards such as API 650/653, UFC, ASTM, ASME, NFPA, and OSHA. The contractor is responsible for all necessary permits, testing, inspections, and coordination with installation personnel. Tank cleaning must be performed prior to hot work, and all repairs must be inspected and approved before the tanks are returned to service.
