Several times during the warmer weather months, this project will clean shoulders and roadsides and mow grassy areas along the interstate highways in and around the City of Syracuse. The work areas include: I-81 between the north and south I-481 interchanges; portions of I-481 and NY 481 in and near the I-81 and I-690 intrchanges; and I-690 from Exit 5 (State Fair Boulevard) to Exit 17 (Bridge Street). This project covers litter/debris cleanup, sweeping and mowing operations in these areas for 2027 and 2028. NYSDOT Region: 03 CENTRAL NEW YORK The current status of the project is Future Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Spring 2027. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2027. Construction is expected to be completed in Winter 2027/2028.
