The Board invites Proposals from manufacturers who provide exterior panel systems for institutional/commercial prefabricated buildings and who have the necessary qualifications, expertise, capability and resources for the provision of design assistance to the Architect for the project and construction assistance or services to the General Contractor for the Hazel Trembath Elementary Rebuild Project. Manufacturers should have completed projects within the province of BC for similar public bodies, municipalities, etc. with a focus on school districts. Due to a fire which destroyed Hazel Trembath Elementary School the Board is attempting to shorten the construction process of rebuilding a new school. Using a hybrid model of combining both conventional construction and prefabricated construction, the goal is to have students return to a new Hazel Trembath Elementary School faster than they would be using conventional construction methods only. The Board will review statements of experience & qualifications from respondents, reviewing information provided and references obtained for both current and recently completed projects of a similar nature. The Board's intention is to review additional information provided including pricing information to determine the successful Proponent who will be selected for the project. The Service Provider chosen will work closely with the Architect and General Contractor hired by the Board providing design and construction services for the prefabricated portion of the rebuild project. The project is anticipated to consist of a 10-classroom modular portion of the school building complete with washrooms and teacher resource areas and standard construction of the main office area, the learning commons and gymnasium portions of the school.
