The City of Naperville is soliciting proposals from experienced and qualified vendors to complete the evolution of the existing surveillance cameras and access controls with new security network and access system components to be acquired, installed, configured, and maintained by the vendor. The new system is designed and documented after inventory, assessment, and evaluation by a hired security and access consultant. The surveillance cameras and access controls will be used for traffic and security surveillance in areas of the City and will integrate with access control for City buildings and properties. The camera security system will also provide storage of surveillance footage to assist law enforcement with criminal investigations. The new network supporting existing and new cameras and access control must be completely independent of the Citys network. The vendor is responsible for procurement, installation, configuration, and maintenance of this network, including computing elements for the access control and surveillance network (servers, storage, software and licenses, core distribution and access layer switches, and endpoint devices). The solution should be delivered as a complete turnkey system, utilizing the Citys fiber and providing new fiber where required as indicated in drawings.
