Renovation of a residential development in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The City of Murfreesboro is accepting sealed bids for 727 E. Castle Street Interior Repairs. Question Deadline October 22, 2025, at 2:00pm. All questions regarding the ITB should be addressed via the OpenGov Question/Answer Tab or to purchasing@murfreesborotn.gov Cathy Smith is the City contact for coordinating communications between the department and firms submitting bids. If additional information is required in order to make an interpretation of items in this ITB, written questions (including e-mails) will be accepted until five (5) business days prior (09/24/2025) to the bid opening date. Scope of Work The work area includes four bedrooms, two bathrooms, laundry room, two hall closets, and exterior repairs. The scope of work is by each room and exterior work as listed below. 2.2. Master Bedroom 2.2.1. Replace shower valve, tub faucet, shower head and piping to shower head. Patch sheetrock, finish and paint to match surrounding paint color. 2.2.2. Replace bathroom vanity faucet, supply house and stop valves. 2.2.3. Remove existing vinyl flooring and replace with laminate type flooring in bedroom and bedroom closet. 2.2.4. Install new wire/vinyl closet shelf in closet and support as required by manufacturer. 2.3. Bedroom #1 (front left side facing house) 2.3.1. Patch sheetrock inside closet, finish and paint to match surround color. 2.3.2. Remove existing vinyl flooring and install new laminate flooring in bedroom and closet. 2.3.3. Install new glass in existing window sash. 2.3.4. Install new wire/vinyl closet shelf in closet and support as required by manufacturer. 2.4. Bedroom #2 (Rear left bedroom facing house) 2.4.1. Repair hole in sheetrock wall in closet, finish and paint to match surround paint color. 2.4.2. Replace window in this room; see scope of work for exterior repairs. 2.4.3. Remove existing vinyl flooring and install new laminate flooring. 2.4.4. Install new wire/vinyl closet shelf in closet and support as required by manufacturer. 2.5. Bathroom Between Bedrooms #1 and#2 Install new shelf in bottom of vanity cabinet, caulk joints and paint to match inside of vanity. 2.6. Hall Closets (x2) between Bedrooms #1 and #2 Remove existing vinyl flooring in both closets and install new laminate flooring. 2.7. Bedroom #3 (right rear side facing house) Remove existing vinyl flooring and install new laminate flooring. 2.8. Laundry Room Remove existing vinyl flooring and install new laminate flooring. 2.9. Exterior Repairs 2.9.1. Replace front and rear exterior doors and new door hardware including thumb operated dead bolts. 2.9.2. Remove existing vinyl siding from the bottom to the underside on the soffit from inside corner to outside corner on the rear of the house on the left side. Remove foam board sheathing and inspect framing for damage. Remove existing window and replace with new vinyl window. Install new foam board sheathing and vinyl siding. Vinyl siding color shall be from manufacturers standard color options. 2.9.3. Replace existing security lights at the rear of the house on left and right side with motion activated security lights. 2.9.4. Remove existing gutters and downspouts and replace them with new aluminum gutters and downspouts. Install metal leaf guards. Note: Repairs to sheetrock, trim or interior doors not specifically listed above are not included in the scope of work. Contractor shall provide daily clean-up and provide final cleaning after all work is complete. All materials should be new and installed in a professional manner. Damage caused by this work to adjacent surfaces shall be repaired.
