The project is expected to be awarded on December 15, 2025.** Streetscape improvements in downtown Calera along Main Street (SR-25) and US-31, including furnishing all labor and materials and performing all required work. The entire project shall be completed in 150 calendar days. A cashier's check or bid bond for 5% of the amount bid (maximum of $10,000.00) made payable to the City of Calera must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith. Proof of all applicable licensures and insurance coverages as set forth in the project specifications are required prior to the award of contract and before beginning work. The contractor is required to self-perform at least 30% of the total contract cost. No contractor prequalification is required to bid. Award will not be made to any bidder disqualified by ALDOT or to any affiliate or principal thereof. Bids must be submitted using complete original proposals made available by the owner. Bid documents are available with 24 hour notice at 1074 10th St, Calera, Alabama, upon payment of a refundable $100 deposit if plans are returned in reusable condition within 10 days of bid opening. No bid documents will be distributed less than 24 hours before scheduled bid opening. A pre-bid conference will be held and all prospective bidders should have a representative present. The proposed work must conform with all applicable federal regulations and is subject to applicable labor standards and minimum wage rates. Minority and disadvantaged business participation is encouraged, but no specific goals are set. The right to reject any or all bids and to disregard minor irregularities is reserved by the owner. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
