The work consists of furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary to construct the improvements depicted in the Construction Drawings titled as East Midland Multi-use Path and all other appurtenances and incidentals necessary to complete the project in accordance with the Specifications and Construction Drawings. This includes constructing sidewalks, curb and gutter, storm drainage, concrete walking paths, and any other items shown or implied in the Construction Drawings. All work must be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications within 180 consecutive calendar days, under one contract. Bids must be submitted electronically through QuestCDN.com. No paper submissions will be accepted. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashiers check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All bonds must be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an A minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five times the contract price. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, will be required of the successful bidder. A "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond must accompany each bond. Contractors must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a General Contractor. All qualifying contractors and subcontractors must register and participate in E-Verify to verify the work eligibility information of new employees, submitting an Affidavit of Compliance with O.C.G.A. 1 with the bid.
