The Kershaw County School District is seeking competitive sealed proposals from qualified sources to provide custodial cleaning services for the district. All work must be performed in accordance with the requirements of this solicitation and specifications. This Scope of Work defines the minimal acceptable performance by the contractor in providing defined custodial services at all Kershaw County School District buildings and sites that include stadiums/athletic field bleachers, concession areas, walkways and related areas. Custodial services for the kitchen areas where food is prepared are to be included as part of this Scope of Work, except for the food preparation equipment. Dining areas are the responsibility of the custodial contractor. The custodial services contractor will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the custodial closets in a clean and organized fashion. The schedule for cleaning and maintaining these areas will be the responsibility of the custodial contractor. The district reserves the right to inspect these areas and can require cleaning and repair when required. The custodial services contractor will not be responsible for cleaning closets primarily used for information technology equipment. QUESTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY: 10/16/25 12 Noon - EST Any prospective offeror desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, drawings, specifications, etc., must request it in writing. Questions must be received by the Procurement Officer no later than five (5) days prior to opening unless otherwise stated on the cover page Maximum Contract Period - Estimated: January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2031. Dates provided are estimates only. Any resulting contract will begin on the date specified in the notice of award. See clause entitled "Term of Contract - Effective Date/Initial Contract Period". Your offer must include either a bid bond issued by a surety or sureties licensed in South Carolina or a certified check. The amount of surety shall be five per cent (5%) of the total bid amount. This bid bond penalty may be expressed in terms of a percentage of the bid price or may be expressed in dollars and cents. If a certified check is submitted in lieu of a bid bond, it must be made payable to the Kershaw County School District. The district may cancel this solicitation in whole or in part. The district may reject any or all bids in whole or in part (Article 5-1710 of the Kershaw County School District's procurement code).
