SCDOT - 050 - I-95 Sb Over Tearcoat Branch Bridge Repair, Clarendon County In accordance with the corresponding plans, the Contractor will be directed to apply a Bridge Deck Sealer in the specified areas. This work consists of preparation of concrete bridge deck surfaces and the furnishing and application of High Molecular Weight Methacrylate (HMWM) treatment materials to seal bridge deck surfaces and cracks. Applications on bridge decks will require the addition of sand over the treated areas to increase the surface friction number (FN) measured as described by AASHTO T242. The surface of the concrete shall be prepared and the HMWM resin bridge deck sealer shall be applied in accordance with this special provision and as indicated on the plans, or as approved by the RCE. Repairs will be of the size and type indicated in the plans, unless directed otherwise by the RCE. If field conditions differ from the plans, the contractor will notify the RCE/BDE. This work is for jacking of the superstructure, including design, furnishing, installing, fabricating, and removing temporary jacking supports for the existing bridge superstructure. In accordance with the corresponding plans, the Contractor will be directed to perform concrete repairs in the specified areas of the bridge superstructure and substructure. Repairs will be of the size and type indicated in the plans, unless directed otherwise by the BCE/BMO. If field conditions differ from the plans, notify the BCE/BMO. Work includes the furnishing of materials, labor, tools, and equipment necessary to repair and restore poorly placed and or deteriorated concrete. This includes removal, surface preparation and installation of repair materials of deteriorated areas as indicated on the drawings and specified herein.
