The City of Redwood City is seeking experienced and qualified firms to provide inspection services for the construction of the Hoover Park Renovation Project. Construction is set to commence by January 6, 2026. Specific questions concerning the RFP should be submitted via email to the RFP Coordinator, as follows. A clarification addendum will be issued, if necessary. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project involves complete renovation of an existing 3 1/2 acre park located on the east side of Woodside Road (SR 84), between Spring Street and Hilton Street in Redwood City, CA. The work includes removal of an existing in-ground pool and attendant pool building, with installation of new splash pad, playground, dog park, and pickleball, volleyball, and fitness courts. Additionally, the renovation covers associated paving and utility work including, but not limited to, asphalt parking, concrete curb and sidewalk, irrigation system, domestic water supply, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and stormwater treatment. Work also includes coordinating park renovations with outside contractors for removal and relocation of the existing restroom building, as well as installation of a new restroom building. In order to comply with HUD required timelines, onsite construction shall commence by no later than January 5, 2026. Work shall be substantially completed within 300 Calendar Days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. Work shall be finally completed within 365 Calendar Days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. The Engineer's Opinion of Probable Costs is approximately $6,000,000 - $7,000,000.
