Reference Number 0000400983 Miscellaneous Galvanized Water Main Replacement The work to be performed (Work) is in eight separate locations throughout the City of Clarksville Gas & Water Department operating area and generally consists of the following: Construction of approximately 635 L.F. of 2" PVC water main, 1,620 L.F. of 6" PVC water main, and 2,875 L.F. of 6" ductile iron (DI) water main; Installation of six (6) fire hydrant assemblies; Transfer of sixty-eight (68) 3/4" water services; Transfer of one (1) 2" water service. Work includes trenching, backfilling, pavement and concrete repairs, pipe work and all necessary appurtenances at locations indicated on the Drawings, waterline pressure testing and disinfection as shown on the Drawings and as set out more fully in the Specifications. Owner will provide water meter, meter yoke and meter box for each water service transfer, will set and install the water meter, and will collect BacT samples following water main disinfection and flushing. Contractor shall provide all necessary materials, labor and equipment to complete the Work. Some night work may be required. The Project has an expected duration of 180 days to Substantial Completion after the date when the Contract Times commence to run and 210 days to readiness for final payment after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
