Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Pipe Creek, Texas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
The project is for the replacement of the existing low-water crossing at the Guadalupe River on Bear Creek Road, which was damaged by a flood event. The City is looking to contract with a state-registered engineer to provide planning, engineering, surveying, geotechnical, bidding, and construction phase services. The scope also includes obtaining environmental clearance for the full project limits. The existing structure, a 355-foot-long by 19.7-foot-wide concrete low-water crossing with four prestressed concrete box culverts (each 5 feet wide, 1.75 feet tall, 19.7 feet long), will be replaced with a 355-foot-long by 26-foot-wide prestressed concrete low-water crossing (24-foot-wide roadway), including barriers and openings per applicable codes and standards, specifically those identified under Appendix A of Disaster Recovery Reform Act (DRRA), Section 1235 (b).
