Sealed bids are being received for the annual chemical requirements. Bids shall be based on anticipated annual chemical quantities and must meet the most recent American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standard Specifications governing such chemicals. All chemicals must have NSF/ANSI Standard 60 approval and a copy must be submitted with each bid. No price increases will be allowed for the duration of the bid; awarded bids are final. Deviation from requirements after awarding constitutes a breach, and the award will go to the next lowest qualified bidder. The listed chemicals, quantities, and specifications are: Liquid Alum/Polymer Blend, Dense Sodium Carbonate (Soda Ash), Liquid Chlorine, Liquid Sodium Hypochlorite, Potassium Permanganate (Dry), Sodium Fluorosilicate, Liquid Zinc Ortho-phosphate Corrosion Inhibitor, Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC), Earth Tec QZ Molluscicide, and Liquid Ammonium Sulfate. Each product must meet applicable AWWA standards and be manufactured in the United States. Jar testing, pre-bid approval, and product sample submissions are mandatory for certain products. Deliveries must comply with specified packaging, be palletized and shrink-wrapped, and use trucks suitable for site access. Bids must be labeled as "SEALED BID" and include all transportation, permit, and insurance charges. All chemicals must be certified under NSF/ANSI standard 60 and meet all AWWA standards, and all prices are per pound/as product basis. Bulk and bagged deliveries must follow detailed instructions. If unforeseen circumstances prevent meeting requirements, the contract may be awarded to the next lowest qualified vendor. The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any proposals and subdivide contract awards as necessary.
