Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Boone, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work involves the removal of snow and ice for the 2025-2026 winter season. The contractor will be responsible for removing snow and ice from sidewalks that are not compliant with the City of Boone Municipal Code Chapter 136. This includes commercial sidewalks, where snow must be removed within 24 hours of a snow event, and residential sidewalks, where removal must occur within 48 hours. The contractor must act within these timelines upon receiving the address of a property in violation. The selected service(s) must provide a certificate of liability insurance meeting City requirements and are responsible for all repairs to their snow removal equipment. Bids may be for a one- or two-year contract. Prices must be provided for both interior lots (one sidewalk) and corner lots (two sidewalks). Acknowledgment is required that snow and ice may be packed from pedestrian traffic, and the City is not liable for property damage or personal injury during snow/ice removal duties.
