The work included in the contract consists primarily of bank stabilization and cleaning of sediment and debris from main drainage channels, as well as drainage culvert replacement. Bids must be submitted upon the standard forms contained within the contract documents furnished by the Engineer. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check from a solvent bank or a Bidder's Bond issued by a Surety Company licensed in the State of Mississippi, amounting to five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the owner as bid security. Bidders may be required to submit a current financial statement if requested by the Owner. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked as "Main Drain Debris Removal" along with the Certificate of Responsibility Number. Bids are to be deposited with the City of Bay St. Louis at the address specified or submitted online under the project page prior to the deadline. No oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or email proposals shall be considered. All interpretations of drawings and specifications must be directed to the project manager by email. An acknowledged received copy of all Addenda issued must be included with the bid proposal. No bidder may withdraw the bid within sixty (60) days after the bid opening without Owner's consent. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. Work must comply with all Federal, State, and Local Regulations and Codes.
